About Me

About Me

My name is Jonathan Ramsay. I’m currently a senior lecturer of psychology at James Cook University, Singapore.

I received a PhD in psychology from Nanyang Technological University in 2014, and a BA in psychology and physiology from the University of Oxford in 2005.

I have published in several international peer-reviewed journals, such as Nature Human Behaviour, the Journal of Research in Personality, and Motivation and Emotion.

My research interests span areas of personality and social psychology, with a particular emphasis on the psychology of religion (including the consequences of religious belief and non-belief) and the relationships between personality, attitudes, and well-being.

On this website you can find details of my research, teaching, and publications, as well as information about ongoing research projects and opportunities for involvement. If you would like to get in touch, please click here.

I am currently seeking expressions of interest from potential PhD students wishing to work in one of the above areas. Please get in touch to discuss a possible fee waiver for outstanding candidates.
